Soccer - Round 2!

We took a little break from Locker Soccer when we moved to Plain City - it is a little further and we were spending money on other things. But, the winter can be long and it was time to find some activities for the boys. Linc tried gymnastics at the Marysville YMCA, but he was not a huge fan of anything there. We decided to go back to soccer, but we enrolled Declan in the 2-year-old class and let Lincoln be the "helper" to see if Linc liked it before we spent the money for his class (one way to work the system :)).

Coach Mike seemed to remember us, and Linc definitely remembered soccer! He jumped in right away and did all the warm-ups and activities like a pro. Declan, who I really thought would love it, was more reserved than ever and pretty much ran around holding onto a ball. He did not want to kick the ball - we think he was afraid to lose his possession since everyone around him seems to always take his things. He participated a little bit, but I think he will warm up after a couple of sessions. I am hoping that Linc will enjoy the class and want to do the next session with the three-year-olds all on his own!
