We were so lucky to host my parents for a little over a week this September. My father makes his annual journey up north for a big horse racing week at a local fair (he says he has not missed a race in 30-something years), and my mother came along for the ride this year to spend some time with Lincoln. It happened to coincide with Brian's business trip to Wisconsin (gone for five nights), and I was SOOOOOO happy to have the extra help this late in my pregnancy. We spent a lot of time playing in the house, going on a walks around the neighborhood and to the local park, going to the zoo (2x), and running the usual errands. My mom was able to attend a swimming lesson and went with us to Lincoln's 15-month doctor appointment. The icing on the cake was being able to also spend time with our extended family during my parents' visit. We went to see my Aunt Sarah ride her horse, went to a cook out at my aunt and uncle's house, and hosted my brother's birthday party here on Saturday evening. Moving home to Ohio to be closer to family was so important to us in raising Linc, and he sure got his time with doting family members!
Enjoy the pictures!
My Aunt Sarah's horse...Lincoln loved "giving" the horses rocks.

Thank you mom and dad for spending so much time with Lincoln! He loved the extra attention and sure did miss you both when you left. I miss my carpets being swept, my bathrooms being cleaned, laundry being washed, and dinner being cooked :)
