One-Year-Old Stats

Lincoln saw his new doctor in Columbus for his first birthday check-up.  The doctor was with us for over an hour, answering our questions and learning more about our family.  He said Lincoln was a very healthy, happy boy who was growing nicely.  Lincoln did his usual - smiled, kissed himself in the mirror, and crawled and climbed on everything!

He is definitely growing and has moved up the charts for height and remained pretty steady for weight. His head circumference has also jumped up which is good since his head was always a little small.  He got cleared to eat dairy and is doing very well with yogurt, cheesy noodles, and butter.  We will begin whole milk after he finishes this last jar of formula.

Lincoln sleeps well - about 11 hours a night plus 4 hours of naps.  I would love to move him to 3 hours of naps and 12 hours at night, but I am not sure it will be so easy.  He still wakes quite early, but his naps are consistent at this point so I can't complain.

Lincoln is babbling like crazy, using sign language for more during meals, clapping his hands when he is happy, and zooming his cars around the house with a very cute zooming sound.  He has yet to say a word consistently but he does say baba, dada, and zooooommmmm - but no Mama.  I will wait for that one word and know it will melt my heart when he does say it!

Lincoln is such a happy little boy and so social.  He is getting better with people he does not know, and he even let some people he did not know (but we did!) hold him at the wedding.  I was so proud of him over the crazy last two weeks - a move to a new home, visitors for two weeks straight, a birthday party, and a wedding - and he has remained flexible and happy.
Weekly photos collage of Lincoln - out of order but the many faces of Linc over the year!
