Lincoln Time

We spent Saturday afternoon at a play place called Pickles.  Chicago has a variety of indoor play places like Bubbles that we have ventured to (read about it here).  They are mostly large rooms with a lot of toys and kids.  I called ahead to make sure that Pickles had a beginning crawler area, and she said they did so we headed over.  They did have a baby area opposed to the climbing wall and two story slide for the older kids, but big kids were in and out of the baby area so it was not really the safest.  We stayed in that area until Brian got injured.  Yep, he got a black eye as a poorly supervised preschooler threw a hard toy right into the baby area.  I am actually thankful that it hit Brian and not Lincoln.  I scolded the child, and we moved Lincoln to the more open area that actually seemed safer.

Lincoln really enjoyed watching the big kids and having a larger area to crawl.  He smiled a lot and really liked when his daddy danced to "Shout" with him and threw him up in the air.  He did not like the mothers that sipped their lattes and did not supervise their brats.  The biggest pro was that Pickles was open - most of the play places we called were closed for birthday parties or had a later start to their open play.

Cost?  $12 (although we did not pay - oops - so free for us)
