Day Care Notes

Day Care notes from the week of 11/11-11/14

Monday:  Baby Lincoln got to sit in with the big kids during lunch.  Lincoln was so happy!  He smiled at Norma when he heard her talking.  The kids like Lincoln very much!  They are just as curious to know and see Lincoln as he is about them.  Yasmin is keeping Lincoln very busy so that he is tired when it's time for nap.

Tuesday:  Baby Lincoln is strengthening his grasp and practicing reaching out for objects.  He sees better now and knows more about what he wants.  He responded so well today to some patterns that I (Norma) dangled in front of him.  He really stared.  I noticed that he grabs the sides of his swing, car seat, and Bumbo seat because he likes to touch.  How else can a baby learn about the world?!

Wednesday:  Baby Lincoln looked so cute when he arrived this morning.  Sometimes he smiles that brilliant, shy smile and looks directly at me (Norma).  At other times he catches my attention by smiling and then waving his arms and legs.  He almost jumps out of his seat, as if, to say, "I'm happy, pay attention!"  When Lincoln smiles there is no way one can ignore it.  Babies know what they are all about!

Thursday:  Yasmin and Baby Lincoln were reading the "Mirror Me" book.  In the book, each page has a mirror for the child to see their reflection.  Lincoln was very interested!  He was touching the pages and looking in the mirrors.  He really noticed the glare coming off the mirror because of the lamp.  Lincoln followed the glare with his eyes.  He helped Yasmin turn the pages of the book.

So happy before bath and bed!
