Gaga and Baba go to School!

My parents visited for an entire week in September, and I LOVED having them here! I know two other little boys who did too! They arrived on a Sunday, my mom stayed until Friday, and my dad stayed until Sunday. The boys did not miss a beat reconnecting with Baba and Gaga - they were not shy at all and started playing and hugging them from the minute they walked in the door. I love seeing them all together, and I know the boys really really really miss them when they are not here.

The best we got with all three boys :)

His even worse fake smile

His tv smile

Mom and Dad were able to help with Lincoln's school this week. They quickly found a routine that worked for them....Dad walked with Linc to school each day and Mom met them in the car. Mom picked Linc up. She said Linc ran up to her at the end of each school day and was equally excited to ride his bike to school with Baba. I am so glad they had this chance to see our big boy Lincoln at his best!

Declan threw up on Wednesday at daycare (not sick, just a random vomiting session) so he got to spend some time with them as well. My sister's little one came over on Friday so Mom and Dad had both Lincoln and Nolan then too.

We also got a chance to celebrate Declan's upcoming 2nd birthday! Mom put together a really nice dinner with Aunt Sissy and Nolan, and Declan got to blow out his candles after we all sang Happy Birthday. My favorite memory of the evening was as we were singing, Declan was clapping his hands and so proud of himself. He really understood that it was HIS party, and he was eating up every minute of it. Mom brought some really fun gifts for Declan, and the three boys played with bubbles, playdough, and Declan has yet to let go of his new choo choo.

Dad stayed an extra two days while Mom went to see my grandfather (pushing 97!) for the weekend. Linc was really excited to show Baba the zoo (again) and especially ride the choo choo train with him and show him the merry-go-round. We also treated Baba to Chic-fli-a where he got to enjoy a sandwich and watch the kids not eat their food :)

We love when Baba and Gaga visit, but it is always hard to say good-bye. This time was especially hard for the boys, but we know we will see them when the snow falls and Santa brings them up on his sled!!
