Easter Egg Hunt!

We are moving very soon and the biggest thing we will all miss is our local park.  It is around the corner, and it has been the boys' second home for the last two years.  I still remember that about a week after Lincoln started walking he pushed his little truck all the way to the park.  He has since moved on to pushing a larger car there and now mostly just walks/struts all the way to "his swing" and "Declan's swing".  He has mastered the rock wall, the moving steps, and is fearless on the slides.  Declan has taken some of his first steps at this park as well, and he has been going there since he was a bean inside my belly.

The park usually throws community gatherings in the summer with food, jumpy houses, cotton candy, etc.  This year they also hosted an egg hunt for the community.  We looked at the day as our going away party :)

Lincoln was pumped to learn that the Easter Bunny had scattered eggs all over HIS park.  He walked all the way with his basket, and his eyes were huge when we turned the corner and he saw all the people!  He also thought it would be a great time to try a hot dog (he ended up just eating a bun with ketchup) and to actually kind of say hello to the Easter Bunny.  When they called 1-3-year-olds he lined up with everyone and then was off to gather as many eggs as he could.  He did very well and even shared a couple with Declan.

What a going away party they threw for us - thank you Dexter Falls for the memories and the great welcome to Ohio!  We will miss you :)

This is Declan actually hugging the riding toy - he is so silly!

So happy to just walk around - everywhere!  Watch out world - here comes Declan Dougherty!

"Missed one...hahahaha" - Lincoln said to the little girl (in my imagination)
