Halloween and Leaf Fun

We went trick or treating with one of my high school friends, Katrina, and her little girl, Cece.  Linc and CeCe had A LOT of fun going from house to house asking for candy.  Linc was a little hesitant at first but once he realized each house had more candy for him then he was on fire.  He ran from door to door and was rewarded with FULL SIZE candy bars and other sweet treats.  We have been in this neighborhood for a little over a year and I didn't realize how many people we knew and how many people knew the boys.  It was really fun to see them all greet Linc and Declan with big smiles and their names, and I felt safe letting the kiddos go up to the doors by themselves.  We were only out for about 45 minutes and then came home and dumped most of the candy into our candy bowl that had been raided (we left it on the front porch since we all went out).  If this is any indicator of the fun we will have in the future, I am ready and excited!

We also went to Boo at the Zoo with Sarah, Shaun, and Nolan.  Events like that are fun, but because they are so close to the boys' bedtimes we do not get to spend too much time at the actual event.  But, it was great to do something with the Burchetts and are so thankful to have family close by!

We raked the leaves last Saturday, and this Friday it looked like a tree had exploded in our back yard.  There were leaves EVERYWHERE!  We started to rake, bagged about four bags, and probably have 20 to go.  Life in the burbs, but at least someone is having fun!
