Fake First Birthday and Gaga and Baba visit

We were looking forward to September because Gaga and Baba were coming to visit!  Linc talked and talked about their visit and when he came home from daycare and they were actually sitting in his living room he was filled with excitement!  He ran to Gaga and gave her a huge hug.  We all laughed which made him embarrassed, but it was pretty clear that he was excited they were here.  He kept them busy with bubbles, ball, and being outside.  Gaga kept both boys home one day so she could spend some more time with them while Baba went to the Little Brown Jug, a horserace that he attends every year with his Ohio friends.

While they were here we decided to have a little birthday party for Declan since they would not be coming back in October.  There were 17 people here including three little ones.  It was a full house of love and Declan enjoyed his special day.  Great-grandpa Botkin (95 years old) held his own with the house full of people, and we even got a picture of the three great-grandchildren and him.  I so appreciate times like this when our family is close and can be a part of the boys' special days.
