Family Trip to Pittsburgh

Since we did not make it out east for the holidays, GiGi was really in need of some Lincoln time (who wouldn't want his hugs and smiles for a weekend? :) so we all decided to meet about halfway in Pittsburgh.  The boys had slight colds before the trip and at one point we thought it may snow, but the weather gods and health gods were in our favor and it was a fantastic weekend!  Lincoln warmed right up to GiGi and really seemed to remember who she was (Facetime helps a lot), and we started right away getting reconnected.  GiGi took Lincoln on many elevator rides, bought him pizza, and watched a lot of Barney with him early in the morning so Mama could sleep in!  Declan traveled really well and slept his normal routine of waking once to eat and going back to bed until morning.  Both boys really enjoyed the Pittsburgh Children's Museum, and the adults enjoyed some alcoholic beverages at a nice Mexican dinner.  We ended the weekend at a nearby mall where Lincoln could walk around before the car ride home and play in the play area (and take more rides on elevators and escalators).  Both boys slept almost all the way home on Sunday, and Mama and Dada even got to listen to their own radio stations without kids music!

All in all, it was a great trip!  We were so happy to see GiGi, and I was also very pleased to know the boys could travel easily.  Lincoln slept wonderfully in his pack-n-play, adapted to different foods, and wasn't fazed at all by being in a hotel with only a handful of toys.  We can't wait to see our GiGi again!

We were so busy with fun that the camera did not make it out of the bag, but Brian did capture some fun photos from the Children's Museum.  Linc LOVES places like this, and I am enjoying the time that I am only chasing one boy around because when Declan starts walking I am in trouble!
