51 Weeks and Columbus Lincoln Time

51 Weeks and officially a buckeye!  Lincoln spent his first weekend in Ohio playing with Daddy and Mommy, running errands and enjoying some Lincoln Time.  We played at the playground on the swings and equipment (he LOVES climbing) and went on walks around our new neighborhood.  He has settled well into his new home - sleeps well, eats well, and is pretty comfortable navigating the many rooms and stairway.

Likes?  Climbing the stairs (he is allowed to go up, but not down) and technology....I swear that kid can spy a phone, iPad, or computer from across the room and wants to hold it now!

Dislikes?  When Daddy leaves.  We think he may be extra attached to Brian since Brian was in and out the last eight weeks, but this weekend he would not let Brian leave his sight.  He wanted to be held, played with, and snuggled by Daddy.  It gave my hands a break since I pretty much did that all by myself this past week!

Our Lincoln Time was spent at the splash pad at a local Dublin park.  We had high hopes for this place as we slathered on sunscreen and prepared our beach towels.  We could not find Linc's bathing suit so he went in his onsie.  The weather was perfect, and when we pulled into the driveway it looked like it was going to be so much fun!  Until Lincoln saw the water.  He got really nervous and really do not want much to do with the sprays or splashing.  He warmed up a little after a couple of attempts, but Brian and I were close by the entire time (aka holding him).  He did have fun watching the dogs run through the large green space - he loves dogs - and watching the other children.

Cost?  Free
Time there?  45 minutes
Lincoln Fun Meter? *** out of 5 stars
It may be more fun when he is older and not as nervous!
