Lincoln is creeping closer and closer to the much anticipated 52 week birthday! He is feeling better and back to his funny, happy, and babbling self! This weekend it was really nice outside so he even got to rock some of his much overdue summer gear.
Likes? Lincoln loves being chased around the house, especially by his Daddy. He enjoys the surprise and the thrills (I think!) and squeals with delight when his daddy catches him. It could make even the saddest of scrooges smile!
Dislikes? Dropping Daddy off at the airport. He screamed all the way home - it may have been from driving in the torrential downpour, being past his bedtime with no dinner, and Daddy being in the car and then being gone. It was not a fun drive for either Linc or me!
Daycare Notes:
Monday: Baby Lincoln is a scream! He's on the whole new level. I (Yesenia) saw Lincoln trying this hardest to get on a blue chair. The chair was a bit too tall, but that didn't stop Lincoln from trying to sit on that chair. He used his right foot for support and with his left leg he lifted it to get on the seat! He made it, all on his own!
Tuesday: Lincoln communicates better and better. This morning he was sitting in his high chair and here is how he talked to me. First, he vocalized. "Feed me, Norma." Then he began to eat his pancake. I was holding his bottle. Lincoln stopped eating , looked me in the eye, and then pointed to his bottle. "Do I have you attention? Bottle, please??!!! After that he looked like he was finished. I made the sign for "more" Lincoln turned his head away. "No thank you!"
Wednesday: Baby Lincoln loves playing with Yasmin! His favorite thing to play i growling monster. Yasmin growls at Lincoln face to face. That makes him laugh! He grabs her by the hair and tries to bite her cheeks. He did the cutest thing. He touched Yasmin's lashes with his pointer fingers gently. He found another resource of hair for comfort!
Thursday: Today Yasmin let Lincoln play with water. We take everything off except his diaper. We it him on the sink and turn on a warm faucet. Lincoln was fascinated. He tentatively stuck his fingers in the water. Then he stuck his foot in the water. He experimented and played. I took some photos - Lovely!
Friday: Baby Lincoln and Miles had a moment when they saw each other. It seemed like they hadn''t seen each other in so long. Both of them stared at each other with such joy! They extended their arms toward each other and hugged and kissed each other's foreheads. How sweet!
