Dislikes: Napping in his crib, going to bed when he isn't tired (who does?!), and staying up past his bedtime.
Observations: We have been working on Lincoln's sleep habits this past week. He is now sleeping the entire night in his crib and only waking once (around 4am) to nurse and then will usually sleep until 7:30am after going down around 9pm. He is still fighting naps in his crib but will nap on me, in his swing, and even flat on the couch with me next to him. My goal is to get him to nap in his crib during the month of September to help him transition more easily to daycare where he will more than likely have to nap in his crib. Brian and I had two nights out with Lincoln this week (one for work and one with Mom for dinner). We quickly discovered that Lincoln needs his bedtime routine and cannot miss that window of sleep before he is in his crib. He was way overtired both nights and would not settle for bed. His eyes would pop open the minute we put him down and he would fuss until we picked him up. It was tiring for us too. We now know that it is just not worth it to keep him out late because we are the ones who really pay the consequences that night and into the morning - good-bye 2am taco runs and last call for alcohol nights :) I am obviously kidding as we haven't seen those fun times in a long time, but we will be researching restaurants with early bird specials!
Lincoln is still a prince and more and more of his personality shows every day! His smiles and coos are contagious, and I am hoping to hear his laugh really soon!
