Lately Lincoln is exploring all of his options in the morning. He will sometimes sleep. He will sometimes close his eyes, pretend to sleep, and then grunt. He will also use those precious hours of 5:30am-7am to find ways to say, "I want to play." Brian and I have been experimenting with using a swaddle (which we think he hates and endlessly breaks out of) and using a sleep sack. We have also experimented with trying to get him to sleep two or three more hours versus just giving in and starting our day. We did find peace this week when we finally threw in the sleep towel, got up, and went on a walk along the lake to watch the sunrise. Starbucks in hand, it was a calming moment and made me even more thankful for my family of three.
